Cybury Gooners is the Arsenal Mailing List's very own football team, made up of list subscribers. Anyone on the mailing list is allowed, nay encouraged, to join the team. The team was formed in the summer of 1995 through the efforts of Mark King and Mel Melis, the joint player-managers. In the beginning training sessions were sporadic and in the first summer were held in Finsbury Park. Lately they have become more frequent but tend to move location. For details of the any forthcoming training sessions see the latest news. Matches have been arranged so that the team gets a competitive game fairly regularly. Details of forthcoming fixtures can also be found in the latest news.
The high point in the team's short existence so far was St Albans' Day when the Forces of Evil were outclassed.
If you are on the Arsenal Mailing List and want to play for us or if you have a team and would like to play against us (preferably from the London/home counties region) then mail Mark and Mel

Maybe these should have been described as Olds, but I've been on holiday for the last couple of weeks watching AIK stick six past Ravelli in Stockholm and have only just found out the results (I left the R&N game at h/t)
Highlights were the Cybury Gooners running on to the pitch to celebrate everytime the opposition scored against Internet H*tspurs, and virtually all the participants not playing at the time, invading the pitch when Leeds scored against Man Utd (just how unpopular can a team be?)
