Gilles Grimandi, Born 11/11/1970: Defender/Midfielder

A very versatile defensive player, who can fill in in either Defence or Midfield. I think that despite improving a lot over the past few seasons, he isn't good enough to get a first team place, but is very valuable as a squad player. He can tackle well, and play simple passes, but little more. He has been in the first team this season with the departure of Emmanuel Petit, but I don't think this should be or will be permanent, with Edu hopefully arriving soon. Having said this, I think that Vieira's partner in midfield should be able to tackle and win the ball back, as well as being able to play creative through-balls and run strongly with the ball. Hopefully Edu will be able to tackle.
