Lee Dixon, Born 17/3/1964: Right Back
Another member of the old Arsenal back four, but Dixon is now a bit too old I think.
At his best he is a very strong defender, who can keep the best left wingers quiet,
notably Giggs and Ginola. He can tackle well, and works very hard for the team.
Despite this, he is now slowing down, and making more and more mistakes.
He also tends to hoof the ball upfield a lot, rather than playing an easy ball along the ground.
This season Oleg Luzhny seems to have taken his place in the first team, but Luzhny is also getting on a bit,
and will soon need to be replaced himself. |
